Science
At Revoe Learning Academy, our vision is to provide children with a high quality Science curriculum that enables them to explore and discover the world around them. We develop a culture of curiosity where children have the confidence to independently investigate their surroundings. To accomplish this, we have developed a curriculum that allows children to acquire accurate scientific knowledge and enhance their ‘working scientifically’ skills such as: observing, explaining, classifying, hypothesising, evaluating and fair testing.
Science Curriculum
Our Science curriculum has been developed to support the needs and interests of our children. The curriculum design encourages spaced practice of knowledge and skills over time. This will allow children to develop a deeper understanding of our six topics: Humans; Plants; Animals; Forces and Energy; Earth and Beyond; and Materials.
In our rapidly expanding, technological world, we aim to raise the profile of Science, and promote and share the possibilities that a career within STEM can provide. At RLA, Science is taught with passion and excitement; whilst also understanding the need for accurate knowledge and practical experiences. It should allow children to develop a love for science and their world around them.
